Autism Research and Resources of Oregon (ARRO) is a non-profit organization dedicated, in part, to developing, and maintaining, the ARRO Westside Center so it can continue to provide the Autism community with a place to meet, share ideas, offer support, and provide autism-related services. Financial support for the Center is derived entirely from Donations from the community, from corporate sponsors, and through fun filled events like annual Sean’s Run from Autism, Arrtism Pirate Run, as well as events including lectures, panel discussions and more. Your contribution today can ensure the continuation of ARRO’s Mission; to produce and promote a center of excellence in the field of Autism research and services in the state of Oregon.

Sean’s Run from Autism is the single most important fundraising event for the Autism Research and Resources of Oregon to be able to continue it mission of providing resources to the Autism Community. Those resources are many, and include the ARROAutism Westside Family and Community Center in Beaverton, our annual Holiday Assistance Program, various lectures, lectures, family socials, classes, movie showings, and other resources. Thanks to everyone who participated in Seans Run from Autism, we have made a decent start on our 2012 fundraising, with more than $6500 raised for those programs and services. And we couldn’t have done it without you.
THANK YOU!
There are a few special mentions we should definitely add:
- Team Reliv – Silver Sponsor of the 2012 Sean’s Run from Autism
- Our Volunteers!
- Our 5K runners and Walkers
- Sean’s Run 2012 5K Overall Winner : Mark Mcculloch with a time of 17:38
- Our 10K runners!
- Sean’s Run 2012 10K Overall Winner : Nathan Hult, with a time of 36:19
- Treske Precision Machining, Inc who paid for 24 of their employees to run and walk in Sean’s Run 2012!
- Starbucks Burlingame Branch for providing coffee for the Sean’s Run from Autism 2012 volunteers!
- Russ Zornick for handling all the timing for Sean’s Run from Autism!
I’d especially like to thank everyone, participants and volunteers, for working with us on what turned out to be a very fluid start time – an area that will be improved upon for next year.
Despite a wet start for the volunteers, Fortunately, the sky cleared up providing a beautifully blue and white patchwork and just the right temperatures for a great run and gorgeous walk in Portland.
Race Results
Thanks again to everyone who volunteered, participated, contributed and otherwise helped Sean’s Run from Autism 2012 to raise more than $5000 for Autism Research and Resources of Oregon!

Details
Michelle Smith is a professional photographer who has volunteered her time to ARROAutism in a variety of ways, including taking and developing the photos for our Sean’s Run Apparel collection, development of our Sean’s Run from Autism 2012 Posters, and photos of the goings on at Sean’s Run 2012.
Now we’d like to say thanks to her, and help you access her expertise, by giving you an opportunity to schedule an individual or family photo shoot in the familiar environment of the ARROAutism Westside Family and Community Center.
We hope this will be more affordable, and accessible, than a private photo shoot in your home, and without the stress of someone coming into the house and changing the environment there, or of going to a new and strange place.
So, if you’ve been waiting for a time to get photos taken, we hope you’ll take advantage of this opportunity on May 19th.
To schedule your time for a photo shoot, please visit the site Michelle Smith has created for this special event : http://michelle.bookmonline.com/schedules/ARRO
