Factors Affecting Parents’ Decisions

Sarah Hall, a doctoral student in the Department of Educational Psychology at Texas A&M University, is seeking participants for a short survey examining the factors that influence parents to treat their children with an autism spectrum disorder with complementary and alternative treatments. The purpose of the study is to gain information about why parents choose these treatments, and factors that influence their decisions. The survey includes questions regarding parents’ use of, and feelings toward, different types of treatments, parents’ perceptions of their child’s behavior and severity of symptoms, and demographic information.
