The Policy describes ARROAutism’s collection and use of users’ Personal Information (e.g., information that identifies a specific person, including name, postal address, phone, email address, or payment information where that information is not otherwise publicly available.)

Health Insurance Portability and Accountability Act (HIPAA) – ARROAutism is aware of HIPAA and of the rules surrounding the Health Information Act. We keep no health information concerning the families and individuals with Autism that interact with ARROAutism in any way.

ARROAutism must protect the confidential nature of the Fundraising/donation relationship.
ARROAutism must act in good faith with regard to the legitimate interests of the family and donor in use of confidential information and in the communication of donations.
ARROAutism must be aware of, and comply with, all confidentiality and privacy laws and regulations applicable in a donation. (According to the Gram-Leach Bliley Act of 1999, the FTC issued two rules – nonpublic personal information includes financial activities closely related to banking or usual in connection with the transaction of banking.)
ARROAutism must not disclose: 1) confidential information or 2) donation information to anyone other than:
The donor
Parties specifically authorized by the donor
State and federal regulatory agencies
Third parties as may be authorized due process of law; or
A duly authorized professional applicable law or regulation.
ARROAutism must take reasonable steps to safeguard access to confidential information and donor information by unauthorized individuals, whether such information is in physical or electronic form.
ARROAutism must ensure that employees, co-workers, volunteers, or others who may have access to confidential information are aware of the prohibitions on disclosure of such information or results.
