In their Own Words

For 80 years, Mt. Hood Kiwanis Camp has empowered children and adults with disabilities through proven recreational programs in the Mt. Hood National Forest. 525 campers visit each summer, and demand for our programs is so high that we fill all available slots in just 72 hours. A camper parent told us, “My son’s experience at your camp was the first time, outside of his home or special education classroom, that he felt truly accepted. For some, riding a horse or climbing a rock wall is fun. For kids like my son, they are life changing experiences.” Our camp is literally being loved to death. The Chase Community Giving grant will provide added accessibility on our 22-acre site and new state of the art facilities for our campers. Increased mobility, fewer barriers, and more independence will greatly enrich each camper’s experience. The personal growth and self-confidence campers gain while at camp is transformational. YOU can help change a life, vote for Mt. Hood Kiwanis Camp!
